As the world celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March 2010, the Dynamatic Technologies CEO, Udayant Malhoutra, utilised the opportunity to engage in a interactive discussion with a heterogeneous cross-section of women employees drawn from different age groups, diverse backgrounds and disparate streams of business activity. The focal point of the session was to identify ways and means to significantly increase the critical mass of women’s visibility across the organization.
However, the informal air that prevailed throughout the entire event resulted in some lively discussions about the women’s experiences and the challenges they faced in balancing their personal and professional roles. “To say the least, this was unlike any break out session I have participated in before” said Madhavi, a young project manager from the Aerospace division “ I was blown away by the high levels of interactiveness and the idea of Women Power Network”. Her sentiments were echoed by other participants who were extremely enthused by the discussions, and, the ideas which emerged from them.
