Dynamatic Technologies marked the occasion of International Women’s Day on 8th March 2012, with an exclusive event which witnessed wide-spread participation from the women employees of Dynamatic Technologies, drawn from different age groups, diverse backgrounds and disparate streams of business activity. The event which had ‘Connect & Inspire’ as its theme, focused on encouraging women’s empowerment through networking, bonding and learning and comprised of an interactive session on Women’s Health with the Fertility Management Specialist Dr. Latha Nelivigi, as well as several team building activities.

Dr. Lata Nelivigi, MBBS, DNB, DGO (Mumbai), FIIM, Fellowship in Infertility Medicine Obs. (Mayo Clinic, USA), drew on her rich gynecological and fertility management experience to educate the participants on the common health issues a woman can face at different stages in her life. “Dr. Latha’s presentation on Women’s Health Issues in various age-groups was very useful for all of us as individuals and for the various roles played by us in the family, be it of daughter, sister, mother, or daughter-in-law” said Shashi Bindu, AGM – Costing, Dynamatic Hydraulics™, whose views were echoed by various other participants at the event.
The team building activities included ‘Fashionista’, a creative team exercise which required teams to conceptualise, create and present a high-fashion garment using the most unlikely of materials including garbage bags vegetables and holi colours, as well as the DIVA Awards which had the participants vote from amongst themselves for winners in various categories. “The Fashionista programme was creative and dynamic” said Geeta Ramdas, Dy. Manager – Marketing Services, Dynamatic Hydraulics™ and Jayanthi Bai, AGM – IPO, “All the participants were quite enthusiastic.”
“The day was filled with a lot of positive energy” said the young engineers Ranjitha and Sitara, “the event offered an ideal platform for interactions with all the women who work at Dynamatic Technologies and proved to be a great opportunity for exhibiting one’s talent and creativity”. Their sentiments were echoed by Padmaprabha, AGM – Material Sciences, who said “In a real sense, the event connected women and inspired futures.”
